Food Support

At FEED THE NEED, we believe that access to nutritious food is a fundamental human right, not a privilege. No one should have to choose between paying rent and putting dinner on the table. Our Food Support Program is designed to provide immediate relief to individuals and families facing food insecurity, ensuring that our community remains healthy, strong, and fed.

What We Provide: We offer a variety of food assistance options to meet different needs:

  • Emergency Food Hampers: Pre-packed boxes containing non-perishable staples like rice, pasta, canned vegetables, and proteins.

  • Fresh Produce Market: Seasonal fruits and vegetables sourced from local partners to ensure balanced nutrition.

  • Hot Meal Service: Warm, ready-to-eat meals for those without access to cooking facilities or who need an immediate meal.

  • Special Dietary Options: We strive to accommodate cultural and dietary needs (e.g., Halal, vegetarian, gluten-free) whenever supplies allow.

Who Is Eligible? Our doors are open to anyone in the Waterloo Region who is struggling to afford food. We do not require invasive proof of income. If you say you are in need, we are here to help you with dignity and respect.
